Hunting gear list:

Decoys: Decoys are important. Very important. Whether you are hunting for waterfowl, or doing some turkey hunting with decoys. We can’t all have perfect Duck calls, or emulate an Elk perfectly can we? So we need these tools to drive our prey out into the open to take them out. Send out a fake duck or two into that pond and see what happens. We need all the help we need out there for the hunt.
Locator Calls: This is a great tool. Usually used for turkey hunts, turkeys will pick up on these signals and come right to you with the intentions of mating. Little do they know you have a gun or bow pointed right at those gobblers!
Binoculars: Classic standard tool for any explorer, let alone hunter. Yes, I said explorer, because that is what we are essentially isn’t it? We explore little known spots in nature and hunt their game. A binocular will come in handy for spotting that deer a football field away, or if you are on very high ground and want to scope out the terrain from afar.
Head lamp: These come in handy for those hours leading up to sunset, and if you have what it takes, for getting to those prime spots in the near dark. Definitely a useful tool for us on our hunts, even if we don’t use them too often.
Pocketknife: Your pocket knife will be used very often, so make sure it is sharp and safely stored on your person. You’ll have plenty of things to cut up, don’t you worry.
Gutting knives: You’ll want to find good knives for gutting your kill. A combo set with a gut hook, and a fillet knife are your best bet. This combo will be able to handle animals as big as elk and as small as quail.
